Does the ceramic basin in this vanity unit have a built in overflow?
Yes. This basin features an integrated concealed overflow. The overflow opening is discreetly positioned inside the basin and channels excess water internally into the waste system, maintaining a clean, minimal aesthetic.
What type of basin waste do I need to buy?
As this basin has an overflow, you must use a slotted basin waste (also referred to as a “waste with overflow”).

Overflow Wastes & Bottle Traps
Yes. This basin features an integrated concealed overflow. The overflow opening is discreetly positioned inside the basin and channels excess water internally into the waste system, maintaining a clean, minimal aesthetic.
As this basin has an overflow, you must use a slotted basin waste (also referred to as a “waste with overflow”). For basins that do not have an overflow, an unslotted basin waste is required.
A slotted basin waste includes small side openings that allow water from the basin’s overflow channel to enter the waste assembly. This ensures that both normal water flow and overflow water are safely drained through the same outlet.
Yes. The basin waste (slotted or unslotted) connects to a bottle trap or P-trap below, which provides the water seal to prevent odours and connects the basin to the main waste pipe.
