The BAULANE® Roman 1700, with its distinctive wide fluting detailing, draws inspiration from classical Roman architecture, building off the three classical orders found in Roman columns – Ionic, Corinthian, and Doric, which were developed in ancient Greece.

When designing the Roman 1700, we referenced the famous Roman architect Vitruvius' three design principles: focus on firmitas (strength), utilitas (functionality), and venustas (beauty). The Roman 1700 embodies these characteristics in spades, with exacting symmetrical detail enhanced by its powerful proportions. For this design, we used a wider flute detail to enhance the robust stature of the bath.

A generous 105° interior incline slope profile means this bath is ideally designed for loungers. If you like to truly unwind and relax, free of distractions, then this style of bath is for you. With a 20mm rim profile, the bath is sturdy but not obtrusive, and the rib detailing on the body creates an undeniable statement in your bathroom.

One of several styles in our collection featuring generous incline slopes, the benefits of this design are twofold – not only do you benefit from an extremely comfortable recline position, but you also require less water to fill the tub. Less water wasted, more comfort. Redefined luxury bathing.
