Like most good entrepeneurship stories, BAULANE® was born out of frustrations with the existing options available.

As a property professional with a background in architecture, design and manufacturing, our founder was disappointed with the quality of the products and service he received when purchasing from other well known bathroom brands. Items were often out of stock, the delivery times were long, and the products were mostly underwhelming.

After much research, he realised there were surprisingly few affordable luxury bathroom brands that sold their products direct to customers online; soon learning that the the majority of the bathroom brands still operate on a traditional wholesale distribution business model, causing two key inefficiencies:

1) You can only buy the brands products via authorised retailers

2) The price was usually much higher due to markups applied at each level of the supply chain

Drawing on the design skills honed & developed through his degree in architecture, our founder set about designing & developing our debut collection of stone baths and basins, crafted in our proprietary Baustone™ resin blend, with a full range of premium bathware products including luxury vanity units and high-end brassware currently in product development and testing.
