Q: What are your vanity units made from?
A: Our flagship freestanding vanity units are constructed in solid oak across the frame, legs, reeded and fluted front panels and drawer boxes, and are supported by engineered cores faced in real oak veneers in hidden structural roles for stability (not vinyl wrap or printed laminate). Each piece is hand-finished with a waterproof 2-part oil that protects the timber while enhancing its natural grain.
Our wall-hung designs are made from cabinet-grade moisture-resistant materials and engineered cores.
Q: Are they suitable for bathroom use?
A: Yes. The waterproof 2-part oil finish is specifically chosen to withstand the moisture and daily use of a bathroom environment, rather than a general-purpose furniture finish.
Q: Do the units come with a countertop and basins included?
A: Yes, our vanity units are sold with countertops and basins as standard. We have designed our collections to be modular, so that you can specify and conifgure to your desired combination. Choose from marble and ceramic underbasins, to our TrueWhite™ Solid Surface Stone Resin countertops with integrated basins.
Q: Is the click-clack waste included in the price?
A: Our Baustone® TrueWhite Solid Surface stone resin countertops with integrated basins are fitted with matching click-clack wastes as standard. Our marble and ceramic basin options do not come with a click clack waste, as we have found customers prefer to source waste covers that match their chosen tapware.
Q: Do the basins have a built in overflow?
A: Yes. All basins in our collections features integrated concealed overflows. The overflow opening is discreetly positioned inside the basin and channels excess water internally into the waste system, maintaining a clean, minimal aesthetic.
Q: What type of basin waste do I need to buy?
A: As this basin has an overflow, you must use a slotted basin waste (also referred to as a “waste with overflow”). For basins that do not have an overflow, an unslotted basin waste is required.
Q: How does a slotted basin waste work?
A: A slotted basin waste includes small side openings that allow water from the basin’s overflow channel to enter the waste assembly. This ensures that both normal water flow and overflow water are safely drained through the same outlet.
Q: Do I still need a bottle trap?
A: Yes. The basin waste (slotted or unslotted) connects to a bottle trap or P-trap below, which provides the water seal to prevent odours and connects the basin to the main waste pipe.
Q: I want to source my own marble countertop and sinks. Can I purchase your vanity unit cabinet by itself?
A: Yes, you can. Simply select "No Countertop Required" and "No Basin Required" when configuring your vanity unit.
Q: Do you sell the taps in your images?
A: No, at this time we do not sell taps or brassware.
Q: What colours/finishes are available?
A: Our vanity units are available in a range of oak tones, from lighter finishes like Blonde Roast Oak and Mocha Oak through to deeper shades like Coffee Brown Oak and Espresso Oak, so you can match the piece to your bathroom scheme.
Q: Are the drawers functional, or are any of them false fronts?
A: All drawers in our current designs are fully functional - we avoid using false fronts for aesthetic symmetry and unlike our competitors, we have designed our top drawers to be fully functional, so every drawer offers genuine storage.
Q: What soft-close systems do you use in your products?
A: It varies according to the price and specification of the model. We use both DTC and Blum soft-close hinge door and side railing systems depending on the model. These systems are both major brand names across our industry and widely regarded for their quality and longevity.
Q: What is the guarantee for your vanity units?
A: Please refer to the Guarantee page for further information.
Q: I want to see your vanity unit in person? Where can I see one?
A: We operate as a direct-to-consumer ("D2C") brand, which means we don't distribute through traditional retail showrooms. This lets us put more into the craftsmanship, materials, and finish of every piece, rather than the margin a showroom network would require - so what you're paying for is the product itself.
We're exploring select partnerships with retailers where we feel a physical presence would genuinely benefit customers in that area, so this may change over time.
In the meantime, you can watch a video walkthrough of our warehouse and pieces on our website, and order a sample pack to see and feel the finish and timber for yourself - the cost of which is fully deducted from your order if you go on to purchase a vanity unit.
Q: What sizes are available?
A: Our core collections are currently offered in 600mm, 800mm, 1000mm and 1200mm Double Basin options. If it is not listed as available for sale, then we do not offer it.
Q: I would like a 1200mm vanity unit, but with a single basin countertop. Do you offer this?
A: We currently do not offer this configuration.
Q: Is assembly required, and does it arrive fully built?
A: Our vanity units are rigid built, and are delivered pre-assembled. If you order a vanity unit and countertop basin set with us, your order will arrive in pre-assembled. The vanity unit cabinet is packaged in a carton , and the countertop is packaged protective packaging, in a wooden crate.
Q: How do I clean and maintain the unit?
A: For the wood vanity cabinet itselt, we recommend regularly cleaning them using a clean damp cloth. For the TrueWhite Solid Surface Stone Resin countertops, we suggest cleaning frequently with warm soapy water. Ideally, you should clean the basins and surfaces regularly after use by rinsing with water and drying down with a soft cloth. Cream cleaners can be used for keeping your products looking new and in show-home condition.
Q: What's your delivery lead atime?
A: Orders placed before 12pm will be delivered within 2 days (48 hours), if the style is in stock. Due to high demand for our brand and products, styles sell out quickly - so we advise all customers to order your chosen configuration as soon as you're ready to proceed.
Q: What's your returns policy?
A: You are required to inspect goods on receipt of your order and notify us of any damages within 7 days. If you are not satisfied and would like to return your order, you must notify us within 14 days.
